DETAILED LIST for COMPARISON

Software:
All computers have Microsoft Windows installed with current patches (OEM branded to meet Microsoft requirements) and the necessary Internet programs or plug-ins to do normal Internet surfing, no other software installed.  These Internet programs include Macromedia Flash, Netscape 7x, Real Player, Winamp, Quick Time, Sun Java, Adobe Reader and Adobe Ebook.

Notes about processors:

  • All processors are socket not slot processors and are not soldered to the main board.
  • FSB (front side bus) speed is a mute issue, processor design and speed plus memory bus speed are the real tests of performance & speed.
  • Via, AMD Duron & Intel Celeron are low end low speed chips regardless of MHz or GHz.
  • All AMD Duron, or Pentium 4s under 2.4 GHz have memory bus speed of 100 MHz.
  • All P4 over 2.4 or AMD under 2.4+ have a memory bus speed of 133 MHz.
  • All memory, DDR 2100, 2700 or greater, PC 133 SDRAM, RAMBUS etc., is matched to motherboard.
  • The actually GHz of AMD XP processors are about .2 GHz below Pentium Ratings. The Athlon XP 2.0 PR is actually a 1.67 GHz chip but according to AMD's and other's tests performs like a Pentium 4 2.0 GHz.
  • All ISC computers are workstation grade not low end home "lack of quality" grade. They can run 24/365 if need be. (We recommend to always turn your computer off if you are not going to use it for an hour. You don't leave you automobile running all the time do you?)
  • Computers in the Price List are all NEW. NO rebuilt, remanufactured, or used parts inside.
  • Nothing extra to buy but a printer and your own personal software.
  • Real technical support after the sale (software & hardware).
  • Included in the price is a 17" CRT SVGA Color Monitor (.27, 1280 x 1024 @ 60 Hz or better)
