1974 Nova Project Car for Sale

($3.5k invested)
1974 Nova Hatchback
Inline 6 cylinder (250 CI, 4 liter?)
83,000 Miles
3 owner car
I have driven the car on vacation over 600 miles without any problems before I started the restoration of the body. The only reason I am giving up the car is I no longer have a place to work on it.  My original idea was to do a descent restoration, to make the car presentable to 99% of the people around and drive the car during decent weather. The oxymoron here in American "You have to look successful to be successful."  This way I do need to buy a new car I don't want anyway.  This car is extremely easy to work one so no more "Mechanic Bills"!!!!

You are seeing the worst this car can look with every flaw showing in grand detail. NOTHING hidden HERE!!!
I will try on point out all the standard old Nova problems and give comments to such:
1. Rear leaf springs replaced. (not helpers, original shocks not air shocks, $500 repair)
2. Frame and rocker panels are solid (NEVER patched). Leaf springs are not in the trunk!
3. Front half was totally dismantled and sandblasted completely and repainted or undercoated with metal preserver. (The inner fender vent boxes are solid!! Except the radiator fan cover as you see in the pictures.)
4. New radiator support wall, battery, battery box and radiator last year. (multi cored radiator not the original single)
5. Rebuilt alternator 4 years ago.
6. Comes with 2 new re manufactured quarter panels to replace current rusted ones. (wheel welds are available now I would recommend one for passenger side. As you can see in the pictures granny hit the side of the garage driving it inside one day.)
7. Used OEM driver's side door include with 1" hole on outside (inside corners rust free)  Never could fine a better passenger door in 2 years of looking.
8. All paint was stripped or sandblasted off.  From being outside primer is starting to get surface rust in areas.
9. Trunk area sandblaster and covered with metal preserver.
10. Need seats reupholstered (foam is in good shape, so DIY kit would be fine)
11. Need dash board cover. (they are remanufactured now like almost every other Nova part)
12. Windshield will need replaced and rusted dash underneath fixed, all other glass good shape and original to the best of my knowledge.
13. Original molded carpet in front and rear. OK needs cleaned good.
14. All the original trim and parts are here, bumper rubbers, etc. Even kept most of the GM bolts.
15. The grill has one fin broke out. Normally not seen area.
16. Wire in steering column going to the starter is broken or switch is dirty. I was never going to fix it and had plans on an anti theft remote starter switch anyway.
17. Most interior panels shows wear but not holes or major crack outside of the dash board so this car is not for the 100 point show car enthusiast without planning lots of cash to completely replace all inside panels.
18. The only putty here is in the bottom of the front fenders over top of metal and has been there for years now.
19. The worst part of this car once you put on the right quarter is the trunk area and the gas tank brace under it. And the passenger door already mentioned.

This car with a couple thousand invested is probably worth about $8,000.
This car is listed in various places for sale. And auction will be pulled if sold elsewhere. Bid quickly or for sure you lose this deal.
